As part of the "From Out That Shadow: The Life and Legacy of Edgar Allan Poe" exhibition, the Harry Ransom Center will show the 1968 movie Spirits of the Dead. The film consists of three adaptations of Poe stories by Federico Fellini, Louis Malle and Roger Vadim. Admission is free.

As part of a series on Classic Westerns, the Manchaca branch of Austin Public Libraries will show Shane, the 1953 film directed by George Stevens and starring Alan Ladd in the title role. Admission is free.

Debbie recommends this movie wholeheartedly: "I'm excited to see my favorite horror parody, Motel Hell, is this week's selection for Terror Tuesday. As if the 'man as meat' on the screen won't be enough, there will be free sausage for attendees. Farmer Vincent's motto? 'Meat's meat, and a man's gotta eat.'"
