Stop Stealing Images

Did you find this URL from an image like the one below?

stop stealing!

Maybe this image appeared on your own site, replacing a nice movie-related graphic that you found and linked to from slackerwood.com. The image indicates that the website where you found the image (your site, or one you were visiting) was hotlinking an image from this website.

"Hotlinking" means that a website is displaying an image that they've obtained by directly linking to an image file on another site (like this one). When you hotlink, you're not only using images without permission, but you're stealing bandwidth from someone else's website.

Many of the photographs and images on these site are original work from Austin photographers and graphic artists. It's considered theft when you use these images without permission.

I don't tolerate theft or hotlinking, so I've installed a script that prevents you from hotlinking images from slackerwood.com. However, if you'd like to legally use one of the images found on Slackerwood, please contact me for more information.
