SXSW 2008: More Reviews and Photos

Nerdcore Rising at ACC

Shameless self-promotion, you gotta love it. But if you want to get a better impression of SXSW than what you're reading here ... okay, it's still shameless self-promotion. Here's a list of the movie reviews and other features I wrote for Cinematical during SXSW this year:

Review: The Order of Myths
Review: Crawford
Review: Woodpecker
Review: Bama Girl
Review: Medicine for Melancholy
Review: Body of War
Review: Dreams with Sharp Teeth
Review: Nerdcore Rising

Live from SXSW: Morgan Fairchild and ZZ Top
Live from SXSW: Red Carpet and Party Photos
Live from SXSW: The Music Fest Begins

You can read all of Slackerwood's SXSW coverage (so far) here. I'm still working on the Texas Film Hall of Fame Awards article, which is time-consuming because it's heavy on photos that needed a little work. I've also got photos from the "Conversations with Harlan Ellison" panel and a few of the post-screening Q&As. The above photo is from the Nerdcore Rising screening at Austin Convention Center -- that's director Negin Farsad and documentary subject MC Frontalot.

Just so this isn't All About Me, I'd like to point out that Chris has some post-SXSW advice for filmmakers over at Film Festival Secrets: "Six Essential Things to Do After a Film Festival." Go check out the whole site if you've got another film fest in your future.
