Visit external web page. Austin Film Meet is hosting an evening of short films from local filmmaker Jack Daniel Stanley. Stanley's latest film, the Austin-shot short Depth of Phil, is having its world premiere at SXSW this year. Get there at 6:30 pm for free "twisted cocktails" and stay for the screening and Q&A starting at 8 pm. The event will also include live music from Roger Sellers, who composed music for Depth of Phil.
Stanley's website says that the shorts being shown will include Cold Calls, A Little Mouth to Feed (which played Austin Film Festival 2009), Unawakening, and Rekindled, plus "a select older short or two and maybe a peek at something entirely new (no promises on that last one, though)."
