Call for Filmmakers: "Faces of Austin" Video Exhibit

Looking for a filmmaking opportunity? The Cultural Arts Division of the City of Austin has issued a call for filmmakers to participate in its "Faces of Austin" multimedia program. Short Austin-centric films and video works will be selected for display at City Hall, as well as streamed online by Channel 6 video on-demand. The city previously picked films for this program in 2005 and 2006; it's good to see it again.

CALLING ALL FILMMAKERS!
Faces of Austin is conducting its 3rd Call for Entries!

Austin, TX - The FACES OF AUSTIN, a multimedia program of the City of Austin’s Cultural Arts Division, is conducting a call for entries to exhibit short films on-demand on the widescreen video displays in the Atrium of City Hall. Featured works highlight Austin's unique sense of place and diverse cultural identity and showcase the creative talent of Central Texas filmmakers. The deadline for film submissions is January 13, 2010 by 5:00 p.m.

Selected films from the 2010 Call for Entries will also be shown in a public screening in City Council Chambers during the People's Gallery exhibition opening February 19, 2010, and then on-demand on the City Hall video displays and on Channel 6 video on-demand.
